Dear Friends,
Today, exciting possibilities are encountered when considering climbing. "Going climbing" means anything from multi-week ascents of the worlds great alpine faces, to committed attempts up massive walls of rock. However, it also includes those incredible one to four day adventures to favorite rock climbing areas, frozen waterfalls, or choice mountain peaks with special friends. Yet, as varied and popular as climbing has become, the inherent dangers have never changed. Technical climbing (which involves the use of ropes and specialized equipment) at any level is hazardous. These hazards though, can be significantly lessened by climbers who have good mountain knowledge, and who possess the extra-ordinary skill and judgment required to deal with the ever changing situations and conditions that every climber encounters. The Climbing School provides an opportunity for aspiring climbers to establish a solid foundation of essential tools and knowledge which can be built upon throughout a lifetime of rewarding climbing. Simply put, we want your climbing ambitions to become manageable and worthy realities. Cheers, |
